Please make time to read daily. Read a range of text types and genres and share stories together. Below are daily reading activities including useful links to FREE reading materials.

Please choose an audio book or an e-book to listen to from the websties below. For those of us that are back at school, we are using Oxford Owl and Raintree Online!
These websites are free but may require you to create an account. See if you can find something that really interests you to make it as enjoyable as can be!
It is really important that you continue to recap all of the phonics sounds that we have learned not only in Year 1 but in Reception too!
Use the Oxford Owl website Phonics page again to practice the 'phase 3' and 'phase 5' sounds and words.

Shared reading task - choose a book, poem, comic, magazine or web artice to read with a family member. This could be together, as a performance or even over the phone! This will help you to become a fluent reader.
